My current position is as a Research Fellow within the Department of Philosophy at Macquarie University, working with the ARC Centre of Excellence in Synthetic Biology. My primary research areas are philosophy of the life sciences (biology, ecology, medicine) and ethics (bioethics, environment, technology). Recently, I have been writing on the role of biotechnology in conservation science and on invasive species. I am also part of the Wild Yeast Zoo, identifying wild yeasts from native plants for distribution to biotechnology companies and breweries.
