I specialize in the history of German philosophy, with an emphasis on the eighteenth century. My recent research has focused on issues in metaphysics and the philosophy of mind in the period from Leibniz to Kant. For the 2020-21 academic year I will be a visiting professor at the Martin-Luther-Universitaet Halle-Wittenberg and and, in Spring of 2021, Research Fellow at the Interdisziplinäres Zentrum für die Erforschung der Europäischen Aufklärung (IZEA).
