Emrys Westacott is professor of philosophy at Alfred University, Alfred, New York. He earned a BA at the University of Sheffield, an MA at McGill University, and a Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin. He co-authored (with Chris Horner) Thinking Through Philosophy (Cambridge, 2000), and is the author of The Virtues of our Vices (Princeton, 2011) and The Wisdom of Frugality (Princeton, 2016). He has also published numerous articles.
