I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy in the School of Social Sciences at UWE Bristol. My research focuses on political philosophy, phenomenology, and applied ethics.

My first monograph, "The Risk of Freedom" (2016), explored the political phenomenology of Czech philosopher and dissident Jan Patočka. I have also co-edited several collections on related themes, including "Thinking after Europe" (2016), "Phenomenology and the Idea of Europe" (2017), and "European Solidarity: Interdisciplinary Perspectives" (2023).
