I was born in Mexico City on June 28, 1966. I graduated in Chemical Engineering in 1990 at the State University of Guadalajara (UdeG), in Guadalajara, Mexico. I obtained the degree of Baccalaureate in Theology at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, in 1993. At the same university I did my Licentiate studies in Philosophy, discussing the degree thesis in 1995, whose title was "Edith Stein: el problema de la empatía" (Edith Stein: The Problem of Empathy).
