Gilbert Burgh is Associate Professor in Philosophy in the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry at the University of Queensland, Australia. He teaches Environmental Philosophy, Philosophy and Education, Ethics, and Moral and Political Philosophy. His research interests are in dialogic pedagogy and the role of genuine doubt in classroom inquiry to acquire critical awareness of epistemic bias in educational practice. He has published widely on educational philosophy esp. democratic education, collaborative philosophical inquiry as pedagogy, and the development of philosophy in school in Australia.
