I recently completed my PhD in the Department of Philosophy at Marquette University. I work primarily in the history of philosophy, with particular emphasis on nineteenth and twentieth century European philosophy, and the philosophy of psychoanalysis. My dissertation, entitled The Fantastic Structure of Freedom: Sartre, Freud, and Lacan, explores Sartre's fraught relationship with Freudian and Lacanian psychoanalysis.
