I am a philosopher of science working at the intersection of the philosophy of science, cognitive science, biology, and ethics. My research centers primarily around conceptual and methodological problems in comparative (animal) cognition science and their implications for the mindedness and moral status of beings with cognitive architectures that differ dramatically from our own.
As of August 2024, I will be joining the Philosophy and Religious Studies Department at North Carolina State University (as Assistant Professor).
