I am currently doing a double dissertation in the University of Düsseldorf and Turku, aiming to develop a novel approach to temporal experience from the perspective of an embodied agent. This challenges the classical consciousness-centred approach and extend the alternative brain-centred theory by emphasizing the contribution of bodily states, spontaneous movement, and deliberate action. Unfolding this idea, various types of temporal experiences, including immediate perceptual experience of motion and more latent feeling of time passing, will be newly characterized and clarified. This process involves philosophical reflection on behavioral conditions of everyday experience and scientific studies. It will culminate in a theoretical framework that enables us to appropriately apply scientific findings to everyday experience.
