I am Professor of Philosophy at the University of Illinois. My research is mainly in the philosophy of mind, action, and ethics, inspired especially by the work of Elizabeth Anscombe as well as Aristotle, Aquinas, Wittgenstein, and others. Currently I am trying to write a book about voluntariness.
