I am an ethicist interested in many areas of moral philosophy and in the free will debate. In applied ethics I have focused on issues relating to enhancement, cheating, mental illness, and punishment. Besides these applied ethical issues, but related to them, I have also spent a quite a bit of time thinking about the concept of moral obligation and the ought-implies-can principle. I recently defended my dissertation (May 29, 2018) at the University of Calgary under the supervision of Walter Glannon. It was titled "Assessing the Moral Evaluations of Pharmacological Enhancements". I look forward to publishing portions of this in the coming months.
I am currently teaching logic at Bridgewater State University and Information Ethics at Northeastern University.
