7© 2015 Elsevier Inc.The breakthrough of induced pluripotent stem cell technology has raised the possibility that patient-specific iPSCs may become a renewable source of autologous cells for cell therapy without the concern of immune rejection. However, the immunogenicity of autologous human iPSC -derived cells is not well understood. Using a humanized mouse model reconstituted with a functional human immune system, we demonstrate that most teratomas formed by autologous integration-free hiPSCs e…Read more

51Philosophy of Engineering, East and West (edited book)Springer Verlag. 2018.This co-edited volume compares Chinese and Western experiences of engineering, technology, and development. In doing so, it builds a bridge between the East and West and advances a dialogue in the philosophy of engineering. Divided into three parts, the book starts with studies on epistemological and ontological issues, with a special focus on engineering design, creativity, management, feasibility, and sustainability. Part II considers relationships between the history and philosophy of enginee…Read more

Uveal melanoma is the most common adult intraocular tumor. UM often involves activating mutations in guanine nucleotide binding protein, q polypeptide, or G Protein, α 11. We show that the Yes-associated protein inhibitor verteporfin blocks tumor growth of Gq/11-mutated UM cells.
