I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Philosophy at Indiana University Bloomington. Prior to this, I completed a MA and a BA, both in Philosophy, at Texas Tech University & Saint Cloud State University, respectively.
Most of my philosophical interests and research currently involve meaning in life & related issues/questions/topics. I also have major interests in questions of grief, despair, existential crisis, the self, and how to live well, especially where these intersect with questions about meaning in life.

I have other interests in value theory, virtue theory, the emotions & moral sentiments, existentialism, and the notion of evil. Outside of that, I like to dabble in political theory & philosophy, classical Confucian philosophy, Nietzsche, & Wittgenstein.
When I’m not doing philosophy, I enjoy reading and learning about intellectual history & economics, devouring science-fiction and fantasy books, playing PC games, and listening to great music. I have a guitar that someday I will learn how to play (hopefully). I live with my partner, a reclusive crested gecko, and a small brown rabbit that does her best to destroy as many of my possessions as she can get her teeth on.
