L. Syd M Johnson is an Associate professor in the Center for Bioethics and Humanities at SUNY Upstate Medical University. The focus of her work is primarily on the ethical implications of neuroscientific developments in the diagnosis and treatment of traumatic brain injury, including sport-related concussion and disorders of consciousness. Other areas of interest include research ethics, animal ethics, philosophy and film, and zombies of various kinds.
