My background is in psychology and biology, and I am currently completing a PhD at University of Adelaide entitled "Cognitive phytophilosophy: Curing plant blindness in the cognitive sciences and beyond." In my thesis I examine the history, use, and fruitfulness of plants as model organisms in the cognitive sciences. I also work as research assistant on a project entitled "Organisms and us" looking at model organism research in the biological and biomedical sciences more generally.
