I am an Adjunct Professor at Ecampus University (www.uniecampus.it/en) and at Unitreedu (www.unitreedu.com). Primarily, I am interested in the history and philosophy of scientific thought and especially in "historical epistemology", which is my area of specialisation. In particular, my research focuses on the idea that in the history of human thought we can recognise different ways of knowing.
My area of competence includes philosophy of science, history of science, history of ideas, philosophy of physics, communication of science, science writing, novel writing and journalism studies.

I earned my PhD in Philosophy from the Open University (UK) with a dissertation on the concept of "style of thinking" introduced by the Canadian philosopher Ian Hacking . I have been an Armenise-Harvard Science Writer Fellow at the Harvard University and a Research Fellow in Philosophy of Science at the University of Leeds, Centre for History and Philosophy of Science (UK).
I graduated from the University of Pisa with a degree in Theoretical Physics and I wrote my thesis on the conceptual foundations of Quantum Theory. Then I completed a Master’s in the Communication of Science at the International School of Advanced Studies, Trieste.
I teach three courses: Philosophy of Science, Storytelling & Creative Writing and Freedom of Information in Communication. Beside my work as a philosopher and teacher I am also a fiction writer and a science populariser.
