Seattle Pacific UniversityDepartment of PhilosophyAssistant Professor
I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Seattle Pacific University. Prior to that I held postdoctoral research fellowships at the University of Notre Dame and the University of Oxford.
I write mostly in Epistemology (recently, on knowledge, defeat, fallibilism, knowing persons, and pragmatic encroachment); I also work on some allied areas in Philosophy of Language (on assertion and related speech acts, lying, factive predicates, contextualism, testimony, etc.); and in Philosophy of Religion (epistemology of religion broadly construed, and the problem of evil).
