I am Professor of Philosophy at the University of Glasgow. My research centres on the philosophy of emotion, and its links with moral philosophy and epistemology. I am the author of three books: Emotional Insight (Oxford University Press, 2013); Suffering and Virtue (Oxford University Press, 2018); and Emotion: The Basics (Routledge, 2018), and the editor of four volumes. I am currently on a two-year Leverhulme Major Research Fellowship, working on a project on Post-Traumatic Growth.
