Winner of the American Philosophical Association’s 2019 Essay Prize in Latin American Thought, Noell Birondo is Associate Professor and Chair of the Philosophy Department at Wichita State University. His main interests lie at the intersection of contemporary moral philosophy and ancient Greek philosophy. He is currently editing a book on the moral psychology of hate (under contract) and writing a book on the influence of Western imperial history, and specifically the European encounter with the Americas, on our conceptions of the moral virtues.
