I joined the philosophy department at Northwestern University in 2018, after getting my Ph.D. from Harvard University. I work in Classical Greek philosophy. Most of my work is at the intersection of ethics, epistemology, and moral psychology in Plato and Aristotle. I have written on practical wisdom, friendship, emotions, pleasure, magnanimity, and honor in Ancient philosophy. I also work in the history of medicine in Late Antiquity, with an emphasis on Galen's psychological writings.
