Virginia Union University

I am an associate professor of philosophy at Virginia Union University, in Richmond, Virginia. I got my Ph.D. from Cornell's Sage School of Philosophy in 2008. I also have an M.A. in philosophy from Texas A&M (2003) and a B.A. in history and philosophy from Texas State (1999).

As the only philosopher at my university, my teaching experience is necessarily quite broad. I am also something of a generalist in my research, but I have particular interests in Philosophy of Language & Mind, Philosophy of Religion, Metaethics, and Applied Ethics.

I am also the coach of VUU's Honda Campus All-Star Challenge (quiz-bowl) team.
