The critical claim of Artificial intelligence (AI) advocates is that there are possibilities for machines to be an agent and can produce or write legitimate and meaningful stories/reports like human agents or authors, but in the case of AI-generated reports, there is a kind of “authorless” report or literature. This paper first attempts to discuss whether authorship is the sort of thing that can be ascribed to non-humans or when a non-human artificial being is an author. Second, if we ascribe the authorship to AI, it gives rise to the problems of ownership/authorship problems in the case of literature.
