Richard B. Gibson

Richard B. Gibson is a Visiting Scholar at the Institute for Bioethics & Health Humanities at the University of Texas Medical Branch and a News Analyst for The Prindle Post. He received his PhD in Bioethics & Medical Jurisprudence from the University of Manchester, where, before joining UTMB, he was also a Teaching Associate in their Department of Law. Richard’s research interest concerns socially disruptive technologies, and he has written about topics as diverse as social conscription, killer video games, neuroprosthetics, moral bioenhancement, and gene drives. His current work predominately focuses on the ethico-legal implications of cryopreservation.
