I'm Professor of Applied Philosophy at the Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics and the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Oxford. I'm also Editor of the Journal of Practical Ethics and a Senior Research Fellow at Jesus College, Oxford.
My research lies in practical and normative ethics and currently focuses on the ethics of predicting and influencing behaviour. Since January 2020, I've been leading the project Protecting Minds: The Right to Mental Integrity and the Ethics of Arational Influence, funded by a Consolidator Award from the European Research Council.
