I am an associate professor, Department of Philosophy and the Neuroscience Institute, Carnegie Mellon University. I was also formerly associate director of the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition.
I work on attention, perception, action and schizophrenia at the interface between philosophy and cognitive science.
Recent work focuses on introspection, attention and their targets: phenomenal experience, intention, and action.
I am currently writing a book on mental action called "Movements of the Mind"
