Yvanka B. Raynova

Yvanka B. Raynova, Sc.D., Ph.D., Dr.Phil., is Full Professor at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Director of the Institute for Axiological Research (Institut für Axiologische Forschungen) in Vienna. She is author of numerous books in German, French, English, and Bulgarian, as well as editor of different book series and journals, inter alia "Labyrinth: An International Journal of Philosophy, Value Theory and Sociocultural Hermeneutics". She has translated into Bulgarian Jean-Paul Sartre's "Being and nothingness" and Paul Ricoeur's "The Conflict of interpretations". Main fields of research, teaching and interest: phenomenology, hermeneutics, axiology (theories and applied research on values), philosophy of religion, philosophical and cultural anthropology, gender studies, and intercultural communication.
