The rapid evolution of cloud computing has fundamentally reshaped the way organizations approach IT modernization. In the cloud era, businesses are under pressure to move away from outdated legacy systems and adopt scalable, agile, and cost-efficient digital infrastructure. IT modernization involves not only transitioning to newer technologies but also reengineering processes, enhancing cybersecurity, and adopting cloud-native tools. This paper examines the key tools, current trends, and enabling technologies that are defining IT modernization in the cloud era. Through literature analysis, case studies, and comparative frameworks, the study presents a comprehensive view of how organizations are leveraging cloud platforms, automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and DevOps to transform their IT operations. The findings offer insights into best practices, challenges, and strategic pathways for achieving digital transformation through modern IT systems.
