I'm working on some related mental states and processes (e.g., belief, attention, desire, emotion). I think about their nature, normativity, our agency in shaping them, and our practice of critically evaluating them. These involve philosophy of mind & cognitive science, moral psychology, philosophy of action & agency, metaethics, epistemology, and social philosophy.

In the context of AI, I'm working on the extent to which AIs have minds (e.g., representations, attitudes, mental faculties) and the extent to which AIs have agency (e.g., goals, intentions, deliberation, autonomy). Relatedly, I'm interested in AI safety (e.g., interpretability, alignment, control).
