I am interested in metaethics, particularly moral psychology. My PhD thesis develops and defends a non-cognitivist theory of moral psychology according to which reasoning about basic moral principles is a kind of means-end reasoning. Topics I have written on include non-cognitive disagreement, moral testimony, moral forgetting, the rationality of acting under normative uncertainty, and the ‘wishful thinking’ objection to non-cognitivism.
