I primarily work in social and political philosophy, the philosophy of science and values, and applied ethics. I am especially interested in issues related to emergency management, policymaking, science policy advising, wildfires, Indigenous fire stewardship, healthcare, and genetics. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Utah, an M.A. in philosophy from Northern Illinois University, and a B.S. in genetics and philosophy from Iowa State University.
