Alan Cerqueira

Currently, I am a master's student in the Teaching, Philosophy, and History of Sciences Program at UFBA/UEFS (PPGEFHC - UFBA/UEFS). I have a degree in teaching chemistry from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemistry at the same university. I also have an MBA in Environmental Engineering from Anhanguera Faculty, and I work as an environmental analyst at Petrobras (INFOTEC). As a member of the Center for Studies and Research in Critical Science Education of UFBA (NEPECC-UFBA), my research is focused on the approximation between the core of chemistry described by the Philosophy of Chemistry and the Conception of Science in Dialectical Materialism. I also have interest in topics such as ontology versus dialectics of chemical substances, alchemical rationality, and views on chemistry by Soviet and Oriental German chemists and philosophers.
