I am a social and political theorist working at the intersection of critical social theory and egalitarian political theory, addressing normative questions of social justification, political legitimacy, and legal validity in contemporary democracies. Grounded in a post-Kantian reconstruction of critical theory as egalitarian social critique, my research analyses the dialectics of social progress and social regression in democratic life, with particular attention to their expression in the interplay between religion, secularisation, and secularism in the public sphere.
