I'm an accountant, and I work in a Business School.

I'm interested in the relevance of instrumental language use (commercial language in particular) to certain philosophical debates. The need to (minimally) retain intelligibility in order to be able to contract or instruct puts a constraint on instrumental behaviour that can be used to explore the limits of what can be said.

I think there is a 'strong programme' in the philosophy of language which has not been fully explored, and which could be productive.
