I am a Senior Lecturer at Birkbeck, University of London and the Associate Director of the Institute of Philosophy at the School of Advanced Studies. My primary research is in the Philosophy of Mind (inc Cognitive Science and the Philosophy of Psychiatry) and the Philosophy of Language but I also have interests in Metaphysics and Free Will. Lately I’ve been working on the emotions.
