Alex is a philosopher and socio-cultural researcher, theorizing socio-cultural change, especially in the area of sex and gender. Their postdoc research is on concepts of sex-gender between the social and life-sciences. Before that, Alex completed a PhD on the analogies of Genders as Genres at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. Since then, Alex has worked at the Universeit van Amsterdam, Harvard University, and RU Nijmegen.
