I am a phenomenological and socialist philosopher. My earlier phenomenological research focused on applying insights from the work of Martin Heidegger to issues in the philosophy of mind and embodied cognitive science. I engaged critically with pragmatist interpretations of Heidegger’s work, particularly with the work of Hubert Dreyfus. The focus of my current research has shifted to a critique of Heidegger’s work itself and an attempt to develop a new phenomenological framework. In this respect, I am currently working on a book on reduction—or rather, a deconstructivist critique of it. Additionally, I have recently begun exploring problems in ethics, political, social, and economic philosophy from a Marxian and Left-Heideggerian perspective. I also conduct research in metaphilosophy, where I critically contrast the methods employed by analytic philosophers with those rooted in phenomenology and Marxism.
