Hi! I am a PhD student at the University of Western Australia where I am investigating the phenomenology of samādhi states (states of deep absorption into 'pure' awareness described in both Hindu and Buddhist meditative/contemplative traditions), from a contemporary cognitive science standpoint (predictive processing/active inference). I am also interested in the metaphysics of consciousness, and the philosophy of cognitive science more generally.
I am also a trained winemaker, which has informed some of my other philosophical interests, including phenomenology, environmental ethics, and metaphysics of nature.
