Alexandra Guité is a philosopher of education whose recent research focuses on practices of philosophical dialogue, particularly communities of philosophical inquiry, and their role in the formation of ecological judgment. More broadly, she is interested in critical pedagogy, contemplative pedagogy, environmental ethics, virtue epistemology, and environmental education. Her work examines how educational practices can cultivate critical thinking, intellectual virtues, democratic citizenship, and more reflective relationships with the living world.
