I am interested in the possibility of providing an ecological semantics under a distributed language perspective. Regarding the nature of language, I consider radical contextualism as correct: pragmatic processes are necessary in all cases. I link this with the discussion from an alternative cognition perspective. Language is a socially embodied activity. Communication is coordinated activity linking circumstances, experience and verbal patterns, in real-time and on different time-scales. Semantics must be ecological, not propositional.
