I am an assistant professor at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). I recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh. My research focuses on explanation, modelling, and analysis in cognitive science—especially the explanatory roles that task constraints play in neuroscience, psychology, and machine learning.
