Amandine Catala

I am a Full Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), where I hold the Canada Research Chair on Epistemic Injustice and Agency. I am also a Senior Research Associate at the African Centre for Epistemology and Philosophy of Science (ACEPS) at the University of Johannesburg. My research interests lie in feminist, social, and political philosophy as well as philosophy of race and philosophy of disability, and include epistemic injustice and agency, colonialism, racism, migration, linguistic justice, cultural minorities, and neurodiversity. My book titled The Dynamics of Epistemic Injustice: Situating Epistemic Power and Agency was published by Oxford University Press in 2025.
