    This article offers a structural rereading of Jacques Lacan’s 1945 essay “Logical Time and the Assertion of Anticipated Certainty” (Lacan, 1966/2006). It argues that the text already contains, in logical form, the operations of subjectivation later theorized as alienation and separation.
