Amy Stewart

Amy Stewart is an Instructor of Gender and Women's Studies at Kennesaw State University and a PhD candidate in Philosophy at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She holds an MA in Gender/Cultural Studies from Simmons University, where she served as the first Hazel Dick Leonard Research Fellow on Gender. Her research brings together Lacanian and Kristevan psychoanalytic theory, trans/queer studies, and continental feminist philosophy, and her writing appears in Transgender Studies Quarterly, Australian Feminist Studies, philoSOPHIA: A Journal of Continental Feminism, Psychoanalysis, Culture & Society, and New Forms of Revolt: Essays on Kristeva's Intimate Politics. She is currently co-editing two special issues of Studies in Gender and Sexuality featuring new works by Hortense Spillers.
