I'm a first-year PhD student in the Department of Philosophy at University College Cork, where I also tutor undergraduate students. My research focuses on philosophical dialogue in early modern European philosophy amongst Montaigne, Milton, Machiavelli, and Bacon. Aside from philosophy, I'm also doing research on John Donne and trauma theory (focusing on his tract in defence of suicide, Biathanatos), the English Reformation (I'm set to deliver a paper on Reformation and trauma next April in Belfast), Old English literature, and Michel Foucault.
