I am Professor of Philosophy and Co-Director of the Cognitive Science Program at Marist University in Poughkeepsie, New York. Most of my publications are directly or indirectly related to some aspect of the nature of mind and agency. Currently, my research is focused on issues related to the ontological foundations of the philosophy of mind and agency, working out the implications of an ontology of causal powers for how we think about human agency, mental causation, and phenomenal consciousness.
