Overview of proteomics studies in obstructive sleep apnea
    with A. Feliciano, V. M. Torres, F. Vaz, R. Matthiesen, P. Pinto, A. Malhotra, C. Bárbara, and D. Penque
© 2014 Elsevier B.V. Obstructive sleep apnea is an underdiagnosed common public health concern causing deleterious effects on metabolic and cardiovascular health. Although much has been learned regarding the pathophysiology and consequences of OSA in the past decades, the molecular mechanisms associated with such processes remain poorly defined. The advanced high-throughput proteomics-based technologies have become a fundamental approach for identifying novel disease mediators as potential diagn…Read more

Lambs fed with soy lecithin and its effect on carcass parameters, lipid peroxidation and fatty acid composition of meat
    with S. B. Gallo, F. M. Moreira, D. Z. Almeida, and M. M. Silva
    Tropical Animal Health and Production 57 (1): 150. 2025.
Forty lambs with 90 ± 5 days of age; 24 ± 3 kg initial BW; were confined in a feedlotfor 60 days and assigned two different diets, without or with soy lecithin. The animals were slaughtered, and the carcasses were kept in a cold chamber for 24 h, at 2ºC, and were measured for carcass yield, chemical composition of the meat, lipid oxidation and fatty acid profile. The experimental design was completely randomized, data were analyzed using SAS, and compared with the means by the Student Test at 5%…Read more

Deconstructing the Privilege of the Voice
Proceedings of the XXIII World Congress of Philosophy 10 35-38. 2018.
This brief presentation, guided by the thought of archi-writing of Jacques Derrida, has the double purpose of, on the one hand, showing how the Greco-Western philosophical tradition is based on the irreducible privilege of a supposed living word – logo-phono-centrism – and, on the other hand, showing how the thought of archi-writing deconstructs this privilege, pointing out that every mark, spoken or written, occurs already in a scene that makes it, in advance, a response. With this in mind, it …Read more
