I specialize in clinical ethics and the ethics of care. My research interests are on matters of equity in healthcare, primarily directed at the ways in which social-metaphysical categories such as race and gender can impact discrepancies in qualities of care. I am also interested in and concerned with the way engineering decisions in healthcare and medical device design can produce such disparities—particularly with regard to emerging technologies like A.I. for diagnostic support.
