Andrew Carpenter

My academic specialty is the history of early modern philosophy, and especially Immanuel Kant's theoretical philosophy. My Ph.D. is from the University of California at Berkeley; I also have degrees in philosophy from the University of Oxford and Amherst College. I love online teaching and learning, and have taught with technology for more than fifteen years. Since 2001, I have devoted 100% of my teaching time to exclusively online classes. I currently serve as professor of philosophy and director of the center for teaching and learning at Ellis University; my previous academic appointments include professor in Kaplan University's graduate programs, chair of Kaplan's humanities department, and head of Antioch College's interdisciplinary history, philosophy, and religious studies area.
