I am a Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Southampton. I am currently on leave with a Humboldt Research Fellowship at the Forschungskolleg for Analytic German Idealism at the University of Leipzig and before that I was a visiting fellow at the Human Abilities project at HU and FU in Berlin. I completed my DPhil in 2013 at Merton College, University of Oxford, and held a Career Development Lectureship at Trinity College until 2015, when I moved to Humboldt University in Berlin on a Leverhulme Trust award. Before joining Southampton in 2017, I briefly held a research fellowship at Aarhus University in Denmark. I grew up in Yorkshire and spent a year at Music College in London before discovering philosophy and taking my first degree at Cardiff University.
