This article examines two atlas models, considering them as research methods and forms of transmitting knowledge. The first is Aby Warburg’s Atlas Mnemosyne, which provides reinterpretations of historical records and historiographical patterns through a logic of survival of images and gestures. The second is Anna Tsing’s Feral Atlas, which explores the relationships between human and more-than-human beings when mapping Anthropocenic processes. We propose that both projects develop an "atlas-principle" (Didi-Huberman, 2018) as a methodological and epistemic procedure, capable of guiding essayistic thought production through innovative approaches that integrate emotion, memory, and ecological perspectives.
